Bellasera Resort
A Tuscan-style courtyard hotel — 100 rooms, walking distance to Fifth Avenue South.
A Tuscan-style courtyard hotel in central Naples — 100 rooms across a few connected buildings around a pool and gardens, walking distance to Fifth Avenue South. Bellasera Resort is the contemporary Naples option that's neither beachfront nor downtown chain — it's tucked into the residential streets between Fifth Avenue and the Naples Pier, a few minutes' walk to the restaurant and shopping district.
The pitch is the location and the size. Most Naples luxury lodging is either beachfront resort scale (large) or small downtown B&B (intimate); Bellasera sits in the middle — 100 rooms, full service, walking distance to downtown without the beachfront premium.
The setting
Naples sits on Florida's southwest coast, two hours west of Miami and an hour south of Fort Myers. Downtown Naples (Fifth Avenue South, Third Street South) is the restaurant and shopping district inland from the Gulf. The Naples Pier and the Gulf beaches are a few blocks west. Bellasera is in the residential blocks between Fifth Avenue and the pier.
Fifth Avenue South's restaurant strip is a five-minute walk east. The Naples Pier and the Gulf beaches are a ten-to-fifteen-minute walk west. The Naples Botanical Garden is fifteen minutes south. Marco Island and Tigertail Beach are thirty minutes south.
The building
A new-build hotel completed in the 2000s in Tuscan-style architecture — stucco walls, terracotta accents, tile roofs, and the kind of country-estate-Mediterranean vocabulary that Naples real estate has been doing for decades. Materials are stucco, brass, velvet, and the kind of refined-Americana coastal palette layered with the Tuscan elements.
Public spaces include the lobby with a fireplace, the courtyard pool deck, the on-site restaurant, and the gardens.
The rooms
100 rooms across the connected buildings. Categories range from compact king rooms to larger one- and two-bedroom suites with kitchenettes. Most rooms face the courtyard, the gardens, or the pool. Bathrooms are well-considered. Beds are good. The aesthetic inside is country-estate with brass-and-velvet detailing.
Rates from $295 in shoulder, climbing significantly in peak winter.
Food & drink
There's an on-site restaurant — Italian-Mediterranean-leaning, breakfast through dinner, open to non-guests. Bellasera also has a poolside bar. For the wider Naples scene, Fifth Avenue South is a five-minute walk for Sea Salt, Campiello, Bar Tulia, Bha! Bha! Persian Bistro, plus a long list of casual options.
